hush the unquiet mind is praam's fifth studio album and the first part of a trilogy dedicated to ‘akasha’. Also known as the Akashic Records or the Akashic field, this is the cosmic consciousness where all thoughts, events and emotions of the past, present and future are stored. And the first album of the trilogy focuses on the past. This is reflected in the choice of traditional instrumentation (strings / piano / organ) and more classical compositions without losing the characteristic tranquil and open sound of my previous work.
 
The title of the album, taken from W.B. Yeats' "Ideas of Good and Evil (1903)", invites people to first connect with a higher power through stillness (or psychedelics), to allow - specifically in this case - to bring memories from earlier times to the here and now.
 
And it sounds even better on vinyl ;)
